I am strong,
I am thick skinned,
if people throw criticism at me now,
their words would ricochet off me.
For I am a honorable warrior,
I know it in my heart.
And no amount of empty words
will change that.
I am Autistic,
and I have come to
accept it and be proud
of what I am.
I am a Autism Warrior.
I fight to prove people like me
are capable of great things.
I also strive
to serve as an example for
the young to look up to.
To show parents and young people
on the Spectrum that
there is hope that they can be more
than what a bunch of old studies claim.
I might be the first,
but I will make sure
I am not the last.
